I am now a very hard-working student as I believe that if an individual is persistent in his efforts then soon he reaches the goals he desires. Not just that but he also learns a lot in the process of acquiring it. My past academic history may be slightly unimpressive but I can definitely say that it does not reflect my true potential as the grades have never been a good indicator of a person s capabilities. As stated earlier, I tend to work really hard but hard work is made harder by different obstacles one faces during the journey, and overcoming those obstacles is what makes a person stronger and helps develop his/her cognitive as well as physical skills. I have encountered several failures but they certainly did not push me down instead they have made me emerge and helped me to become the person I am today. Now I have the potential of facing harder challenges without complaining and doing my best to conquer it with full dedication. In high school, I was faced with a lot of press ure from my family. Initially, my parents used to force me to become something I am not they wanted me to become an engineer since most of the members of my family are engineers like my cousins, and uncles. Unfortunately, that was not my dream as I was more inclined towards business courses. The consistent family pressures contributed to my failing grades. But I did not want to lose hope and so I started taking classes from a tutor in the hope of increasing my grades. I will be repeating functions in summers to increase my grade point average. After observing changes in my behavior due to stress and failing grades my parents have also realized that it is better if I do what interests me the most and so I will be taking International Business course this summers to pursue my dream. I have started working really hard and intend to participate in different extracurricular activities like seminars and debates. I believe all this will help me to increase my self-esteem and I get better and better every day.
